Judging a Book by its Cover

Illegal Magic has been selling pretty steadily on Amazon (I know! I'm shocked too!) But the more I read/think about the whole Indie Publishing thing, the more I realize that I really need a better e-cover for my e-book. The cover I made myself wasn't terrible. But it wasn't...good.

Mix Tapes

First off, I know they're CDs now, not tapes, but Mix CD just doesn't have the same ring.

Second, I made a bunch of mixes today. Some were for a road trip to Richmond this weekend. The others were for the roommate.

VERY different mixes.

The road trip CDs were upbeat car music, heavy on sing-along 80s music and featuring only one or two songs by any given artists.

In contrast, the CDs for the roomie are basically gifts of music. Each CD (3 in all) contains songs by 3-4 different artists, grouped...

Dog Musings

My roommate got a dog. Her name is Gypsy, and she is a super-sweet, 7 year old Golden Retriever. I know she belongs to my roommate ... and I know my roommate is moving to her new house in less than a month...and I know I'm leaving for summer camp in June...

But I LOVE this dog. We hang out all day. She mostly just lies around, while I work. She is sweet and loving and if I get up and move around, she follows me.
